I’m a firm believer in a balanced diet that includes lots of fruit, vegetables, pulses, some meat, fish and dairy. My idea of a balanced diet also includes the occasional sweet treat, and Sunday is the day I usually treat my family to a naughty but nice dessert with dinner.
As long as you don’t over indulge, a small piece of cheesecake or a muffin occassionally is OK in my books. I must admit, my family absolutely love chocolate desserts and, as I use mostly raw cocoa or dark chocolate and as little sugar as I can get away with, I don’t feel too guilty about making them.
